Spitalfields Market and Brick Lane

After class, a bunch of us headed over to Spitalfields Market which is actually 5 minutes from Liverpool Street Station near where I work.

It's actually pretty modern and things are pretty expensive - more in the "high-end street market" category. There were leather goods, soap and bath stuff, clothes, and toys...reminds me of Taipei...haha

The group broke apart after lunch and I headed over to Brick Lane Market which had an interesting scene...

It's in the East End, an old part of London, and you can feel Jack the Ripper is right behind you...well, that's if you're there at night...

On Sunday, people sell old crap on the streets...and by crap, I mean the most random stuff like an old Vidal Sassoon brush and blow dryer (yeah, like the one mom had!!), a B.U.M. Equipment sweat shirt (remember those??), a Thomas the train toy, and other random crap you can see in this picture...yeah

There were a lot of Japanese people selling their designs there as well, like T-shirts, hats, jewelry, and hello kitty toys....haha

There were some "treasures" though...like these vinyl records...
